Bacrot is the sole winner of the Classic Elo Open Baden-Baden

The Classic Elo Open Baden-Baden took place on 7-15 February at the Kristalsaal in Baden Baden, Germany. This event was played simultaneously to the Grenke Chess Classic.

Top seed Etienne Bacrot finished clear first after getting 7/9 points, edging out three players that finished with 6.5 points each. The French GM took home the first prize of 2,000 Euros.

Indian GM Parimarjan Negi obtained the best tie-break score and got second place. Argentinian GM Ruben Felgaer grabbed the third prize and Georgian GM Tornike Sanikidze stayed just out of the podium. Full standings below.
